Fall is finally here, which means it’s time for one of my favorite kinds of posts: a new seasonal outfit guide! Yes, of course it is sad to say goodbye to the beloved summer days and quirky summer fashion trends, but there’s just something about fall and fall fashion trends that is so cozy, comforting, and inspiring.
With so many Fall 2025 fashion trends emerging, it can feel overwhelming to decide what to actually wear day-to-day. In an upcoming article, I’ll break down all of these trends so make sure to subscribe down below to be notified when that article goes live! But in this article, I am sharing 20 fall outfits I’m going to be wearing this season. I am hoping you find something that you love down below.

1. Subtle Sophistication
Layering is the key when it comes to fall outfits, and this outfit is no exception. I love the look of vest tops, but given the chilly days, it’s often difficult to wear one on its own. That’s why I love layering one on top of a long-sleeve shirt! Add a gold-clasped belt with some formal pants, and you have the ultimate sophisticated fall outfit!
2. The Scarf Jacket Look
The scarf jacket is one of this season’s biggest trends and I can see why! This type of jacket may be a little too lightweight for heavy winter days, but for chilly fall days, it is a great cover up. I love the versatility of this piece. You can dress it down with some denim pants or dress it up by pairing it with formal pants or even a skirt. If you are looking for a good fall jacket to invest in, I highly recommend the Quince Scarf Jacket!
3. Trench with a Twist
Speaking of jackets that are trending this season, I absolutely love the little spin on trench coats I have been seeing called cropped trench coats. These cute cropped coats are showing up everywhere on my Instagram feed! Style this unique piece with denim jeans and a kitten heeled boot for an effortless chic look this fall.
4. The Comfort Classic
Who doesn’t want to be comfortable when the weather starts getting a bit chillier? If you are someone who likes to dress chic, but would also like to prioritize comfort, you’re in luck because this outfit is perfect for both of those priorities. Pair a comfy oversize knit sweater with some baggy jeans, and there you have it, the perfect combo. The secret to this look is adding a long coat to make it look all put together nicely.
5. Wild at HEART
Leopard print is a classic trend for the fall season and I love to see how people style it differently every year! Animal print in general has taken over in recent seasons and there has been an increase in cow print as a trend as well.
Personally, when it comes to leopard print, I can be a bit picky with the pieces I choose. I love the pairing of these Revolve leopard denim jeans with a black top and a burgundy belt as pictured on the left! This is one of those outfits that screams fall fashion to me. Also, paired with a black cherry lip is an added bonus!
6. Countryside Chic
Let’s talk about one of the most classical jackets for fall : The Barn Jacket. The vintage must-have has made its way into modern day styling becoming a statement piece for fashion lovers! This piece is incredibly versatile and adds a hint of nostalgia to your outfit. What I love about it is that you can dress it down with a pair of baggy jeans or elevate its versatility by pairing it with straight-legged jeans and a pair of heels!
7. Chocolate Craze
It’s a bit of an unspoken rule that brown is the signature color of fall fashion. Having signature brown accessories and clothing in your closet is a staple during this time of year and can be worn in so many different ways.
I love the pairing on the left of a chocolate brown leather skirt with some tights, a nice brown blazer, and a beige top to off set the deep browns! The Sam Edelman brown knee high boots are a stunning addition to this outfit and that I will be purchasing right after I write this article.
8. Denim Skirt Appreciation
Denim skirts are a staple in your closet as they offer endless styling opportunities. I find that they work well for fall brunch dates as it is a piece that can make you look very put together with minimal effort. Check out the one above from Maje. The deep blue shade pairs so well with any color top and matching accessories. I wanted to pair it with a cream top and some fun brown accessories!
9. Ivy League Vibes
This look reminds me of walking around Boston in the fall. This sophisticated outfit layers a sweater over a buttoned shirt giving you a classy and very put-together look. I specifically love the blue shirt and white sweater combo pictured on the right as it gives you a chance to add a pop of color into your fall wardrobe while still staying on trend by incorporating neutrals through the rest of the outfit.
10. Faux Fur Takeover
Faux fur jackets are a timeless statement piece. Every fall, I see so many different ways people pair their fur coat and I am always amazed by how versatile of a piece it is. I personally love an all-black look with the fur coat being the pop of color as pictured above. I think a short faux fur coat is an ideal fall piece, that you can swap for a longer one in the winter months!
11. Cocoa & Cream
A brown blazer with white wide-leg pants is so classic and beautiful. This is a great outfit for a work day or even being the main character while running errands. The little details are really what make this outfit stand out. From the brown Cendre watch to the Albert Loafers. I am going to being wear this outfit on repeat this season.
12. Boho Baddie
Fringe and the boho aesthetic is all the rave this Fall 2025! I love the combo of a fringe jacket with wide-leg white denim jeans. This pairing complements each other well and is trendy while still allowing you to wear some unique accessories such as this brown and gold plated ring!
13. THE Suede Blazer
Suede is the material ideal for all of the IT girls this fall season. It’s a material that feels luxurious and elevates any look. I find myself always reaching for my suede jacket in the fall. Pairing this jacket with some denim jeans and fun ballet flats is a great looks for walking around the city, grabbing lunch with friends, or running errands.
14. Effortless Layering
If you love blazers and maxi skirts, this is the look for you! Why not see how they pair together? Grab a basic tree, a sophisticated blazer, and a maxi skirt you love and see how they look together. This is a look that screams chic city girl and I absolutely love it.
15. Classic Trench with Denim
A classic trench look will always be a good go-to look! This is one of those outfits that makes you look so put together, but doesn’t take to much effort to throw together. You can wear any denim jeans with a nice trench and loafers, heeled boots, or ballet flats and you have the most classic look. Personally, I love a touch of burgundy mixed in with this look.
16. Vintage Leather Moment
If you want to add a little hint of edge to your outfit this fall- try out a vintage leather jacket! What I love about this look is the mixture of vintage in the jacket with also modern trends and accessories. The edgier look works great during this time of year and you can also add a pop of color with a red lip if you wanted to!
17. Maxi Skirt & Knit Sweater
What I love about a maxi skirt is you can wear it to work, you can wear it to brunch, and you can even wear it on a night-out to dinner with friends. This brown Banana Republic skirt is super cute and I love this shade of brown for fall! It also pairs well with suede accessories which are trending right now. You can have both a unique and trendy look at the same time with the pairings above!
18. Blazer in Charge
This look gives me a boost of confidence because it is powerful, sleek, and modern. The long-heeled black boots creates a chic silhouette while the oversize blazer gives the outfit sophistication and power. Pairing this look with some fun accessories makes it perfect for a day and night out in the city.
19. Electric Edge
Who said fall outfits only had to be neutral? While neutral colors do look stunning in the fall, I love the color electric blue when I am feeling like I want to wear a pop of color but not be totally out of season. These electric blue boots are so fun and I think they stand out (in a good way) during this time of year. Electric blue is going to be my go-to this season when I want a break from the neutrals.
20. Leather Layer
This look can be described as an edgy-meets-modern vibe. You have the power coming from the long black leather boots and the leather jacket, and the modernity coming from the sunglasses, bag, and unique silver earrings. This look is ideal if you want to look trendy on your next night-out!
